TO FIND THE WISDOM, LISTEN
For years, you may have measured your life
by what happened to you, ie: the noise
Today, measure it by what it taught you.
Pain isn't the goal.
Wisdom is.
YOU didnt "deserve" everything happened.
But every HELLISH experience has the potential to
leave you with something valuable.
So today we decide how to use it for the better.
Today, we stop collecting wounds...and noise,
and start collecting wisdom.
THE
SCULPTOR
DOESN'T
BEGIN BY
STRIKING THE
STONE.
THE
SCULPTOR
SEES WHAT
OTHERS
SIMPLY MISSED.
THE WISDOM INVENTORY
EXPERIENCE WHAT IT TAUGHT ME HOW IT SERVES ME NOW
THE WISDOM INVENTORY
EXPERIENCE
WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
HOW IT SERVES ME NOW
Which lesson changed you the most?
What strength do you now have?
What do people come to you for because you've lived it?
What wisdom have you been minimizing?
Guided Meditation: You Are A Masterpiece
To use: read slowly or record yourself
Find a comfortable place where you won't be interrupted for the next few minutes.
Allow your hands to rest gently.
If it feels comfortable, close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in...
...and let it go.
Again...
Breathing in...
Breathing out.
Imagine standing before a magnificent block of marble.
At first, it appears solid.
Heavy.
Ordinary.
Just stone.
This stone represents everything you've believed about yourself.
The labels you've carried.
The fears you've collected.
The expectations you've tried to live up to.
Now imagine someone standing beside you.
Not to tell you who you should become.
Only to remind you to look differently.
As you study the marble...
you begin to notice something.
Not with your eyes.
With your intuition.
There is something within this stone.
Not finished.
Not fully visible.
But unmistakably present.
Resist the urge to force it.
Resist the urge to decide too quickly.
Simply become curious.
The sculptor doesn't begin by striking the stone.
The sculptor begins by seeing what everyone else has overlooked.t happened to you, ie: the noise
Ask yourself...
What part of me has been quietly waiting to be
noticed?
(Pause.)
Ask again...
What quality has always been present, even when I doubted it?
(Pause.)
And finally...
If I stopped listening to fear for just a moment...
what would the masterpiece whisper?
Don't search., Don't analyze.
Simply notice.
A word, A feeling.. An image. A memory.
A knowing.
Whatever comes is enough.
Take one more slow breath.
As you exhale, imagine placing your hand gently on
the marble.
Not to change it.
Not to fix it.
Only to acknowledge... The masterpiece is already here.
When you're ready... Open your eyes.
